Combining Style

Maxi dresses look great on multiple body types and flatter many different body shapes, they are a great way to keep cool in the summer and still look classy, as well as feminine and trendy. They can be super casual or really dressy! There is no end to the possibilities!

Here is a wonderful example of a dressed up Maxi.
Absolutely stunning, and on a side note, very flattering to this lady's figure.

One thing we read recently was that maxi dresses actually create the illusion of you being taller! For the shorter girls among us, is that awesome or what?!?!?  But they are not just limited to summer!  When the days turn cold and blustery, they can be worn with a shrug or a jacket.  They can be worn year round!

Ashley (pictured below) from Fiddle Dee Me styled her Maxi very chic.

Even Jessica Alba knows how to dress up a Maxi femininely and modestly!

Though simple and plain the pattern on this Maxi somehow creates the illusion that this lady has all the right curves in all the right places without clinging too tightly. It is really quite flattering!

So say you do some research online and are  finding that many of the maxi dresses you like are too revealing, do a search online for "modest maxi"!  You'd be surprised how many gorgeous dresses come up!  They're pretty popular right now!

They are  definitely a great wardrobe basic. In fact, earlier this spring we found some cute maxis
(pictured above) on sale .  While buying several for ourselves, we also purchased some extras!  Here are some of the ways we've worn ours.  Again, they work year round, depending on how you accessorize!

  1. I've never really considered maxis before because I'm so short, but I may have to give it a go!
